http://www.tripod.com I got Smokey from a trucker couple that had her for about a year before they gave her to me. That was the first time I'd ever seen a ferret. They told me to feed her cat chow, mac & cheese and fruit loops. My son caught me one day as I came in form work, 4 days in to having Smokey. She had a sore on her side. I took her to my vet, who said to take her to be spayed at this new fert specialist (she had 2 tats in her right ear). Smokey had the surgery, not that she needed it, and she died 12 days later. It crushed me. I loved her so much. I started doing as much research as I could, but with not having a computer, it slowed me down. And being in a small town, the library wasn't much help either, nor were the petstores. A good friend of mine did have a puter & printed out whatever he could find. About 2 years later, I got online. It's with the love that Smokey gave so unconditionally that I dedicate this shelter. |
